Paine - Seeding Server Ban

Gents,

I was banned this afternoon around 4pm EST on Kashan. The server had about 8 people in it. I was helping to seed the server.

I am guessing the ban was because I was flying the Kiowa at the airfield. I never left main.

I understand the no asset rule.

In the future I will not look at an asset sideways before 30 players are in the server.

Please lift my ban as soon as you can, I would like to bring some friends and help seed again. Hardcore is actually giving me cancer trying to squadlead right now.

So. You where told not to use heavy assets. Then you tell me not only your using heavy assets, your also soloing, and continue to do so when told not to.

Why is it that it takes a ban for you to comply? Why didnt you just land when I told you to?

I did not read a "land now" message, I must have missed that. I am sorry for not complying with that order.

If you want to understand my rationalization, which is not important, I did not think driving around in main was the same as using an asset, given the intent of the 30 players rule.

Im not here to take care of a kindergarden, if you cant figuire out that "using" a heavy assets is the same as flying around doing nothing, then this server isnt for you.

Before you come here again claiming you didnt use it, just drive it....

Soloing an apc out of main is soloing no matter what. You havent even been unbanned but was able to join due to a banlist error. I left you be, to see how you behaved.

I think your actions speak for itself.

You are correct Jevski, I did drive the APC out of main. It was soloing. That was wrong. I was responding to a "Just come pick me up" request from my gunner, red-moss, another regular, who had accidentally spawned at a fob. I was personally very tired at the time. I should not have done that, it was a momentary lapse in judgement. Please consider the circumstances:

I realized the wrongness of it almost immediately. About 25m (edit: reviewing the BR the distance is closer to 50m) out of main I turned the APC around to head back and wait for red-moss to walk to main.

Battlerecorder confirms this. red-moss will also confirm. I have been trying to get a hold of him but I don't have him on steam and lurking PRSPY hasn't shown him in game recently.

As I was going back to main, I was telling red-moss in squad VoIP that this was a bad idea, and the admins are probably watching. Imagine my surprise when, as I was meters away from the gate, I saw a !b n paine in the console. This all happened in maybe 20 seconds.

Again, I understand it was wrong to leave main soloing an APC and I apologize. You guys run a tight ship. I like that much better than the other, extremely limited server options.

I have been playing this game for a decade, untold thousands of hours, with very few lapses in judgement, and a constant record of teamplay. Before this infraction, I was helping a new player find the manual in team chat. I make it a point to teach new players when I can, because this is such a small community. Before that, I was a medic from the mortar squad, attached to a INF squad, calling in mortar corrections when I wasn't reviving people.

I consistently lead INF squads (don't ever let me drive an asset I will hit every tree on the map), build FOBs, coordinate with other squads, and just generally play this game how it is intended to be played. I am often playing with a large group of friends with whom I have been playing for years, and we all prefer your server. I understand how hard it is to be a vigilant admin, as I have been one for multiple servers that value teamplay and maturity.

Please consider the circumstances surrounding these events, the larger player that I am and have been, and let me get back to playing.
