Yesterday I was playing in tank squad on Barracuda ALT and got killed by CAS deep inside main base. I think that provided proof is sufficent.

You were shooting as well, you can clearly hear and see that. The rule is not about killing in main base, but attacking main base.
4.1 Do not attack enemy bases unless there is a capable flag on it. Bases that have no flag on them are considered out of limits.
Only nedley wasn't shooting propably due to no angles.
