Clarification needed...

If a squad, say a normal inf squad, takes a claimable asset during the round. And when they took it no squad existed that claimed it with the specific name, like TANK or CAS. And then later someone makes a squad with that specific name that normally claims the asset, does the inf squad have to return the asset to the new asset squad or can they keep it?

Yes the infantry squad need to return it towards the squad that claims it and also why would an infantry squad take a claimable asset that needs a specific name to get that asset or assets.
A random squad infantry cannot take that asset without that specific name.
All heavy assets are squad-specific. The first correctly named squad gets the asset.

First you CANT use Heavy assets if you not in the Proper Squad.
But if that happen , yes you need to return de Asset to the guys that make a propper squad
But also you can ask they if you can use it,if they need. etc.

Ok, thanks for clarifying this. One admin actually told me that the squad didn't need to return the assets if they took them before the asset squad was created. That's why i wanted to know for sure.

a) if no one claims the asset, you can take it; even if you are infantry
b) it has always been the procedure that if no one claimed the asset, you can take it and it is yours until you lose it, once someone makes the asset at a later time.

scenario: No tank squad.
i take the tank as an infantry squad, while i'm using it for say 10min, then someone claims tanks. i do not need to return the tank because they just claimed it nor is it considered asset stealing.

this has been the precedence for as log as i've been playing. I'll wait for a senor admin to chime in.
