Ban Appeal: Fletch.

My in game name is Fletch. (the period is included.) This is a very long post, but the length is necessary to completely explain.

I was kicked from the server just a few minutes ago, and then subsequently banned. I began playing today on Fallujah, and chose to play as commander for the insurgent team. I immediately set to work creating hideouts for the insurgent team. I saw a good hideout spot, but another hideout was too close. The other hideout was in a rather indefensible spot, so I deleted it without much thought. Immediately I was asked by a squad leader (whose name I did not catch) why I destroyed the hideout. I replied that I was building a hideout in a better spot. The squad leader responded by calling me a "troll retard commander." I built the hideout and left to build one at the other cache. By the time I got there the same squad leader had arrived and built another hideout, this time it was in the middle of a field and was too close to the cache. I informed him that his hideout was useless and that I was deleting it, and I did just that. He again called me several names, and rebuilt the hideout. I told him again, this time rather angrily and with colorful language, that this hideout was useless and I was building a better one. I continued to delete the hideout as he placed it and told him to stop, but he did not. Finally I let him build it a bit, then destroyed it and placed mine. A few minutes had passed and as soon as I placed my hideout I was killed by the enemy. He once again accosted me over comms, calling me a "troll retard." Eggs and Bacon Cody asked me what was going on and I explained that I was placing a better hideout. At this point I was kicked. I rejoined the server and was autobalanced to the USMC team. I used the report system and squad chat to ask why I was kicked, no one responded for some time so I asked again. I HOG member said over global chat, simply, "asshating" I asked if this was directed at me and got no reply, so I said through report chat "Please tell me who kicked me and why so I can report this on the forums." The HOG member again replied over global chat and told me I was kicked for teamswitching, calling area attack on friendlies, and deleting fobs. I was surprised as I had only done one of these things, and replied as such. The squad leader from earlier then said over global "Please ban that troll." I suggested we cut global chat. I was then banned. I truly don't understand why I was banned as the only thing I did was delete two bad hideouts. I assure you that you will find no evidence of me calling an area attack on friendlies as it never happened, and I never actively chose to teamswitch but was instead assigned or autobalanced to the USMC team when I rejoined. It seems that the admins received erroneous reports of these things and did not bother to look into them, instead choosing to ban me on the flimsy claims of what I can only assume were trolls, and I find this unsettling and unfortunately rather typical.

I have played that round and even helped Fletch dig one of the hideouts that placed inside the buildings.

My view of the situation is that Fletch didnt have anything bad in mind - that is he was trying to help the team. The problem is that the hideouts he removed were our only spawn points in the area - thats what triggered the squadleaders and other players and rightly so.

It also took FLetch a very long time to build his own hideouts since he was trying to put them inside building at all cost - i think he deleted a few of his own before finally building one that satisfied him. Problem was we didnt have where to spawn all this time.

IMHO this whole situation isnt a case of trolling or hurting the team on purpose just some bad decisions from Fletch.
