Monkey AU ban

Super/Haley,, Spoke to MonkeyAU from Australia and it seems he was perm banned for wining about a map and going to another server. Farley remembers the report. Sounds like it may have been not as bad as it sounded. I think we should un ban him. It's bee almost a month.

He did not mention that one I will take a look at the log or send me a link if I don t have access. So I have the whole story when he gets on team speak again

Let me say this is breaking one of my "net" rules, I don't create profiles or accounts willy nilly and to have to create one to address an accusation that has nothing to do with my actual ban is disappointing and personal

So now to the matter that has caused me to break my rule regarding the creation of surperfluous profiles/accounts, The insinuation by =HOG= __Super_6__5__ in a reply post that there is a log that states I have a ban for racism

I would like to clearly point out that a quick check of your forums it is Monkey Whore that has a ban for Racism. Never have I felt so insulted or injured at this accusation

It is not me (Monkey_Au) who at worst can be accused of having salty language at times, and to be accused of that because of what I can only assume is a mistake due to the fact that both profiles contain the word monkey is disappointing at best and slanderous at the worst.

I am a member of prWARs and have been for over 2 years - I didn’t need to create a profile or join a forum to be a member of that clan I was verbally invited by 3 members
I have played PR for about 9 years as a valued member of many squads and a sniper of renown
I have been a gamer for over 20 yrs and in all that time I have never been banned EVER.

Now to the matter of being banned on your pub server the reason given to me by Hayley on TSpeak at the time of the ban was that he was told I was "promoting another server" definately not racism.

Let me state this quite clearly I have no affiliation with any server and have never and will never (unless serious cash is involved) actively promote a server to recruit members to.

I have to thank GNPostal for his help so far with this and as you can see he and I have spoken in TSpeak and he has spoken to Farley in regards to this matter.

Not only did Hayley say to me on the day he was too busy to remove it right then and to "just post on the forums and I'll remove it" but GNPostal also spoke to Farley and his response was stated above but I have included for ease of access (Farley remembers the report. While I believe that Hayley in the main does a great job and is one of the more level headed admins that you will find in a pub server he was busy admining as the only admin on that day and was also wanting to play and that there were several people being general asshats and not making it easy for him- no one can blame him for that so I left it at that for a couple of days as he didnt make it clear whether it was a temp or perma ban.

I was shocked to discover that it was a perma ban for an interpretation of the actual events and words spoken that can be best described so far as possible as weak. If the events as transpired pose a risk then I would believe that the use of clan tags by anyone (which are on the scoreboard during and after a game) would pose a greater threat, but then what do I know.

I would also like to point out that the infringement was not heard or noticed by Hayley and he only reacted to information that was passed to him by Farley

Both of whom I like and have played PR with on so many occasions that I can’t believe that we are even at this point, but then as stated it happened during the mumble free for all of map end/loadout and Hayley was the only admin on so I’m not sure what was said or how much time he spent trying to verify the information by asking others

After checking your rules I would like to point out that applying a ban for the supposed infringement was excessive as your rules as per the website -

Any form of recruiting for other clans or servers will result in a kick and ultimately lead to a ban.

Now the apparent infringement of your rules, regarding any form of recruiting for other clans or servers, occurred during the mumble free for all that is the loading time between maps. I shall outline the actual events as they occurred below.

- We were playing the current map ( I was in a full squad and the members of that sqd need not be mentioned here) and we thought we must be close to winning so one of the boys did a !shownext and then in mumble said that the next map was to be Hill 488.

- Myself and several others in the squad mentioned in mumble that this map was not to our liking (insert SALTY LANGUAGE) and then questioned each other as to what we thought about the map select as next (insert more SALTY LANGUAGE) and before a consensus could be reached as to the impact of said map on our choice of future time spent gaming the round finished.

- Ensue general map loading/ round end free for all

- now as we could no longer talk in just squad chat and decide what we as friends and aquintances were to do, I (now get ready for this as this is the heinous crime) said

- "well Hill 488 (salty language) balls and im not going to play, im out of here. This lead to one of my squad mates from the previous round asked "What are you going to do?" To which I replied (here it comes) "well it looks like [insert server shorthand (not even the full server name was used) name] is on Fallujah so I think im going there, what are you doing, you coming?"

Now I understand that as someone with a 9 year history playing PR I may have influenced/inspired some people but to be accused of advertising or recruiting for a server based on answering a question directed to me and answered to the person asking it and not making a major announcement and also only using a shorthand name overstates the risk I pose to your server with my ability to inspire others.

TLDR - I request that the ban be removed as I believe it was an over-reaction (at worst should have been a kick as per rules) to an overheard conversation between 2-3 friends, during a period of well know verbal diarrhea of up to 100 people, that was passed to the sole admin (Hayley) 2nd hand who I believe took a hasty snap response that even he mentioned in TSpeak as something he would overturn if he had time and to remind him later

Super, Please excuse the way too long venting above, I truly believe this was a confusion of player name "Monkey" and I request we lift this ban. I have spoken to him on several occasions and remember playing in game with him before. I don't often ban or un ban players and I feel strongly about lifting this one.
