Monkey AU ban

Thank you to both of you for responses I appreciate you taking the time.

Just a couple of things that I would like to point out regarding information contained within said responses and let me address these in reverse order.

1. The rules included in the rules page of your server have no mention of the process or requirement to go the forums to appeal a ban, there is however a rule in the Admin Contact section that states
Need an admin for any issue? Our teamspeak can be reached at ts.hogclangaming.com

So this is what prompted me to go there and try to get Hayley on the day and again later to try to get him (unsuccessfully) on the second occasion which is when I spoke to GNPostal, again thanks for your time Postal

2. I understand that Hayley needs to make the decision and he mentioned to me on the day that I will need to contact him later and he would fix.

As I mentioned the rules actually state this should have been a kick offence and this combined with Hayley's verbal response is why I was happy to let it go but after a month I thought the fastest way to get this minor issue resolved was to talk to the person where the possibility of misunderstandings are reduced.

and lastly please take this as feedback given in a positive nature and with the understanding that being an admin while a thankless task at times it is still a position of responsibility

"ok, simple mistake. To think that I just pin something on a player just to make it up is pretty silly in itself and you have no proof that i do that."

The first bit of your statement is correct "simple mistake" which could have been avoided by properly checking the name of the unban requesting profile

secondly no where did I state that you made it up to pin it on me and it is a bit concerning that you think that I would genuinely accuse you of this, I was very careful to be polite and to stick to the facts while raising my concerns and at no timed accused you of making anything up.

My issue is at the lack of detail checking leading to the mislabelling of a person as someone who spouts racism

Please understand that if anyone was a fair and decent person was labelled a racist whether by error or not they would take exception to this - hence my repsonse.

TLDR - Again I thank you for your responses, I did follow the rules and I understand Admining is a thankless task and maybe everyone could do with a reduction in salt

Again thank you for your time responding and please understand that I have clearly and I think concisely indicated that I think in the main that your Admins do a good job and more often much better than any other servers.

This is why I dislike forums for this type of thing as 1 they are often public when this is not needed and 2 the text element lacks the tone that is inherent in a normal vocal conversation thereby reducing the opportunity for misunderstandings

I feel that your first line in the response is a little combative and I am sure this was not your intent but then maybe I am wrong
And as for my decision to continue this I believe the intent of coming to the forums for an admin appeal is so that a discussion can be had regarding the issues as you so clearly outlined in your response “ALLOT of the time we ban people outright for things to get them to come here so we can discuss with them what the did wrong so that they dont do it again”
Im not sure how this 'Conversation" has taken this turn that it seems to have taken but let me state quite clearly that I am not "trying to find problems or holes in our rules just to prove you were in the right." - your words not mine

Now to the issues that you raised in your reply post to my last post where I offered some points in what I hoped would be some positive feedback (noun –feedback - information about reactions to a product, a person's performance of a task, etc., used as a basis for improvement.)

As you know all players are directed to read the rules (although many don’t bother) but there is no mention of needing to read the forums
I thought it was prudent that you should consider adding something to the rules stating that ban appeals are handled via the forums; it needs to only be a single line in the ADMIN CONTACT
You do have a rule in the ADMIN CONTACT section of the rules that reads
"Need an admin for any issue? Our teamspeak can be reached at ts.hogclangaming.com"
And it would be easy for someone to mistake this as an opportunity to clarify a ban or kick received in game

In summation here are the relevant points
I DID/HAVE
- Tell some friends that I was changing servers and when asked where I was going, told them
- get banned for the above issue
- spoken to an admin (Hayley on the day as the admin who issued the ban) in TS as per the rule that states “Need an admin for any issue?”
- questioned the interpretation of the rule as a bit harsh but accepted that it could have been interpreted in this manner
- been told by Hayley he was too busy to fix and to contact him later and he would fix
- waited a month to again contact an admin and spoke to GNPostal
- Had no issues with communication until this time
- have had a post saying I was a racist (which we have since ascertained was in error)
- created a profile to challenge the posting mentioning racist behaviour
- provided feedback based on my experience of attempting to have a ban appealed
THE IMPORTANT ONE
- I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN POLITE AND HAVE THANKED ALL ADMINS CONCERNED FOR THEIR HELP AND THEIR DEDICATION AND EFFORT AS ADMINS

I DID NOT/HAVE NOT
- been rude
- tried to bend the rules
- accused you of making things up or trying to pin things on
- suggested that you need 10,000 rules as like you I know that most players dont bother to read them anyway

Lastly in relation to my be verbally recruited to prWARs I will happily let you know who it was in chat (either TS or ingame) but let me assure you that all are current players with no admin related issues on HOG
