Banned for joining a different squad

Hello,
My in-game name is Rizatriptan and I was just playing on Iron Ridge on Russia. My squad leader left the squad and I became squad leader, and about one minute later I got a warning telling me to get cohesion within the squad or disband it. I was unaware that I needed to kick everybody out of the squad and then leave it, and instead I left the squad and joined a different one. After joining the new squad I got kick & banned, and I'm not sure how long the ban is for. I would like to apologize for not fully disbanding the squad per the warning and understand being kicked, but the ban seems a little unnecessary. All that I'm asking is that in the future maybe be a little easy with the trigger finger on the banning for this.

You didnt just get SL, you had it for quite a while, and you didnt disband it, nor try to lead it with a sniper kit around 4 grids from the rest of the sqd.

You got warned. The instant the warning came you left the sqd. So you kinda knew what you were doing was wrong.

The warning is clear. Get cohesion or disband, Do not leave and rejoin.

By leaving you make Another one SL, just as yourself, why do you think another one wants Sl when you didnt want it by prevous SL leaving?

Now the admin has to resign the sqd manually, resigning ppl over and over as they often just rejoins again.

Its an 3 hour ban.

I agree that I should have disbanded the squad or left it sooner, however I was in combat at the moment and when I saw the warning I was under the impression that I was only asked to leave the squad. I am not arguing that I shouldn't have been kicked, I just ask that for future incidents that banning not be used for such a minor occurrence.
