No can do about that one.
But yes, I'd say he would get unbanned once he read the rules and the manual.

He has already done so before he downloaded the game. The same thing with the rules.
He isn't a complete Rookie or Obvious to the game and its rules.

It is not like he TeamKilled on purpose, at worst case, he just mistook friendly APC for enemy since he already engaged the enemy APC, probs didn't reconise the difference between French and MEC APC's and/or didn't check the, Map due to short time window to take the shot.
We all have done it once at least, seeing a friendly for enemy and thinking you got the drop on him, you as well.

Once again he hasn't done anything bad on purpose and knew the Rules beforehand, hence his reaction on Discord.
