I'm confused, nowhere in the rules does it say that shooting from DOD is disallowed. Please show me where it says that.

Generally speaking, if you fire from your DOD, the enemy will return fire which isn't allowed and we get into a lot of issues from both sides, so best not to do that.
1.2 No asshatting, firing weapons, grenades or smoke in main bases.

From my knowledge, the above rule is to stop or attempt to stop players from trolling, not exactly shooting enemies. I am also not sure if DOD is considered "main base", I thought it was just the boundaries of the compound.
The only rule that seems to be broken in my eyes is the following: Stay away from enemy main/DOD.

Blue- SPG technical location.
Red- Where the tank was shot by the SPG technical.
Black- Where I thought I shot the SPG technical while going to repair station at full speed.
Edit: Keep in mind the SPG shot then I shot back while returning to base.

I've cleared your ban. Thanks for drawing out the situation. I'll take a look at the tracker later, thats the problem when opposing forces are next to the border on a small map like gaza
