Ban Appeal

I can explain myself. A player named niki-tret teamkilled me in main to take my marksman kit. This player had not been using this kit. I grabbed it straight from its spawn point (We were Insurgents on Al Basrah, so the kit spawned on the ground). I immediately reported this teamkill, and nothing was done, so I killed niki-tret myself to take back my kit. niki-tret proceeded to respawn and follow me. I saw him aiming his gun at me, so I shot him in self-defense. I tried to run away and regroup with my squad, when niki-tret spawned near me again. He was clearly coming for me, so I watched him and waited to see what he would do. He started throwing frag grenades at me, so I shot him again. That's when I got banned. Is there an acceptable amount of intentional teamkills in main? Are people allowed to kill their teammates and steal their kits? Please tell me what to do in future situations like this. I just wanted to get my kit back and regroup with my squad. I didn't want to get teamkilled repeatedly just for the admins to continue ignoring me. I reported the teamkill instantly. An intentional teamkill in main at least deserves a warning. Nothing happened. 

I normally don't go around blasting my teammates. I love working together with my teammates and squad mates. I love interacting with people in text and voice chat. I thought I was familiar with the rules, too. I didn't realize that teamkills in main were okay, and that taking my kit back and defending myself from further attacks would result in a ban.
