Insta Banned for DOD kill on cas chopper firing on insurgents

I am trying to get the battlerecorder file for a Kokan round where I killed the Minigun Griffon 800 meters in the air on Kokan as Taliban with a HAT kit. Was incredibly focused on the shot so I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure he was out of DOD and was firing on us with a minigun. This occured at 12:08 Pacific on Kokan and it was a hell of a shot, just want to confirm it was illegal, and If someone can watch the footage to confirm he was firing or out of DOD, the ban will hopefully be lifted in 20 minutes so I'm not requesting an unban, just clearing my name, but my God the whole team erupted, it was a glorious shot.

Edit: Thanks to Piratepengu for the images. Looks like it was very close to edge. I will refrain from shooting at assets parallel to the bridge, North cache is not very ideal in that regard if you can't return fire at air assets in DOD, maybe investigate further as opposed to insta banning? My intentions were good. Looks like I'm on the very bleeding edge of the below rule.

"Restriction 2
You are PROHIBITED from attacking any AIR vehicle with a surface-to-air, or land-based weapon/vehicle in enemy DOD. If the air vehicle instantly dies in DOD from these specific weapon categories, the attacker will be subject to admin action. Air to Air combat can take place anywhere on the map so long as the unit is in the air and not touching ground.If an in-game situation is deemed extremely unfair to one side, admin discretion and opinion overrides these DOD rules on a case by case basis."
