IDEA: What if, instead of banning... was created by =HOG= Dogfart

...the banned could be "sentenced" to community service to work off their undesirable status?

Community = HOG and/or PR
Service = "time out" of X/hr's in training server, pay a fine/donate to server costs, drive the logi for 10 maps, be a medic for a week, etc.

Or, whatever ya'll might come up with?

It could lead to fewer hours of responding to all the "Why wuz I all banned and shit? I didn't do nuttin wroooong" courtroom drama. Btw, I think you HOG guys are way too soft on these guys...but watching them squirm gives me a chuckle.

ideas are good but these just wouldnt work:

1: couldnt enforce it, they would not do what you said and then we are back at the ban appeal drama.
2. bans are timeouts, most are not perm anyway and the ones that are perm are, well, deserved.
3. taking donations for unbanning or monies for unbanning is against the games tos and you will lose your server license, see =H= clan several years ago, they found out the hard way.

We are actually more harsher on these than most other servers and dont have too much trouble answering or dealing with all the bs . Its just apart of the game and is required to have a successful server.

but keep the ideas coming, we may not pick the ideas but one may come along that we like and think would work.
