Warning: Spoiler!
I. Initiating battle recorder
(Note: In order to be able to initiate battle recorder you must be the server host.)
A. In order to initiate battle recorder you must first open the command prompt page simply press the command prompt button while logged into a game (located above the TAB key, Right of the 1 key, and below the ESC key)
B. Now type “Demo.Recorddemo", then hit space bar and place a name or label, and press enter. You are now recording and all activity and non activity on the server you are on is now being recorded
C. When you are finished recording open command prompt(see A.) and now type demo.stoprecording you should get a message that says stopped recording.
II. Retrieving and viewing
A. Click the Start Button go to my computer. Then select program files, find the file labeled EA games open it and proceed to select these files in this order. Bf2, Mods, Bf2, Demos. There you will find all battle recordings Copy those.
B. Now go to you’re My Documents page, select the bf2 file, then select the Profiles file, and then select the default file. Once inside of this file right click scroll down to new and create a new folder name it “Demos” this is the folder in which you will paste all of your battle recordings.
C. Now in order to view your recordings open the bf2 program and at the menu title select community in the right hand side of your screen you should se a list of all your recordings. Select the Desired file and click play now at the bottom of the right hand side of your screen.
III. Battle Recorder controls
Q- Brings up a menu of all the available controls such as slow mo and restart and fast forward…. Sadly there is not a rewind feature.
W A S & D are how you move your camera position and the Mouse is how you pitch the camera angle.
Space Bar will select a different player to focus on and right click will unlock off of them.
CTRL will lower the camera until you reach the ground and Z will raise it.
If you want to move your camera more slowly in order to get that one good shot simply hold the SHIFT key and you camera will slow down substantially.
1-0 will control the speed of the action on the game.

Hi Rayray,
Each BR file represents one map. The file format is of auto_YYYY_MM_DD_H24_MI_SS.bf2.demo
(e.g. auto_2017_03_19_22_08_02.bf2demo, this file is from a map that started at 10:08:02 pm on March 19th, 2017) The timestamp in this case is where the server resides, so 10:08 is most like EST.
In order to find the one you want, you can a) download all the files from a particular day, if cant recount the time that the issues happened. b) review the chat logs to find the timestamp of the map in question.
