If you want the asset just be next to it when it spawns to take it, simple,
all assets that does not take two crewman to operate it is not claimable, hence the AAV. the tow Humvee is not claimable but it is the same as the AA one projects assets from cas the other projects assets from tanks , apcs etc
Just wait for it to spawn if you want it. Its just like waiting for any other one man-able asset

Anyone can claim it, if you want it to cover your assets just be there when it spawns and take it. Its that simple

Keeping AAVs available to all is beneficial. Maps that provide AAVs usually are large, with many other heavy assets can require almost a whole squad to use.
The current configuration allows for anyone who is available to provide mobile AA support independent of whether they are tank, APC, CAS, or inf.
