yeah, because complicated and hard to enforce is always a better idea

because with the number of players that have played this game over the years we have had that rule, a handful cant figure it out, and you and this guy are the newest.

admining a distance or duration would be a nightmare...thats one of the reasons the rule is the way it is...its meant to be as simple as possible...it has proven to be very effective for many years except for the rare violations...previously we had a rule very similar to your suggestion...it was a huge problem and then a rare player would skirt right on the edge of the distance limit and camp main, fort or the road out of main, call in CAS, armor...and destroy the MEC team...it would kill the server, so we changed it to the rule we have now...
