I still have the video and can clearly show that there was no camping of the main base. You can also check the BR if that pleases you. Back on topic however Super there are rules that stop "base camping" quite easy to do and define I mean. Now don't quote me on this but I think fcvs old rule that worked quite well was. You cannot attack a landing enemy aircraft 3 square grids away from their main if they are low flying and landing as long as they didn't get engaged away from dod. Second thing is you are prohibited from being anywhere near the enemy main before an engagement leading you there. The only time you are allowed to briefly pass by an enemy base is if inside of a tail chase once the enemy jet is dead you make a brisk getaway from their main. By the way Druid I know that I broke the rule I'm not here to dispute that fact. Which is why I didn't bother posting a ban appeal. If you want to check BR to confirm suspicions please do so.

if we implemented a similar rule to fcv then we would have to police it...who wants to sit all game watch and process reports that are subject to reviews that can take quite a while....? As it is now a report comes in we almost always get multiple reports and the kick is 99% of the time correct...its easy.

My you do know that half the time a jet doesn't make it back to main right? if they get engaged outside of it? I just find it extremely cheesy to use the main and bait a player there to get them possibly banned for it is just ridiculous. The fact that you guys don't see this point bothers me. I get it, you have the rule set in stone, but just look at it from a different angle. Obviously a player isn't allowed to stay around the enemy main and camp it no, but if he gets into a fight miles away from main and get led there low alt is just cheap. The guy leading him there will no doubt tell his squad mates to get AA UP and shoot the guy following him. Or what if he's killed just a few meters shy of the base? to people on the ground it would seem like baserape when it isn't he can easily claim baserape and get the guy that chased him banned because he was too incompetent to lose him or simply fight. You guys seem more worried about actually enforcing the rule change than the actual rule change itself. Pr maps are way too small for you to simply just run to your main as a safe haven each time you get engaged. It just becomes a cat and mouse game which IMO just destroys the whole aesthetic of CAS gameplay. Again It would be a clear difference if somebody is camping the main and you get killed as soon as you take off. As opposed to being shot at in the middle of the map, running to your main and then claiming you got baseraped..... Baserape and basecamping and as far as I am aware and always was aware any jet you engage away from DOD but still runs to DOD is FAIR GAME.
PS- Druid I'm waiting for you to prove the claim you made about the basecamping because i have the full length video...

but on the same note, your poking us because we arent jumping at the chance to change our rule to, above all, FCV or your variations?
We do see the point, but your way or fcv's whichever does have alot of mechanics to it. I mean there would be a lot of questions to have to get answered to even enforce the rule and would/could take a lot of time to figure out.....was he 3 grid squares away or 2, is one player lying......i was coming in for a landing.......no you werent, you were 2 squares away and i already had you engaged......no you didnt. Isnt it easier for the admin to look at the map and see who is above the airfield?
You said we are too worried about enforcing the rule rather than the change itself, well, hell yes we are, just because we look at ALL sides to the suggestion of a rule change doesnt mean we are bad or wrong for doing so, it means we are intelligent and have been down this road. We cant make a rule without seeing all the dynamics of it, doing it that way makes it more prone to failure.

We understand what u r saying and if players had a lick of common sense they might work but the facts show otherwise. In the past we had no rule about attacking main with a jet. That ended in about 2 days. Then we had a rule where you could engage jets running to main up until u got over main....then the question became where does main begin or end, ton of false reports...then we had a rule that you could engage jets just as they got out of main so enemy jets would camp about 4 grids away wait for a take off then boom....either from a hand held AA an AA vehicle, jet, or chopper...so we changed the rule to no camping main and no flying near main....it has been an evolution of the rules. Its not perfect but it has reduced the constant complaints of base rape we used to get...to be honest maps with jets are nothing but an admin headache...common sense never rules the day...its have proven easier to just set up a clear set of easily enforceable rules and abide by then consistently....
