A discussion for me and Justice. was created by Ondis is my name
Hey man!

New thread just for you and me. SO what do you think?

I just think that as I posted in my own thread that things are a bit less organized or communal nowdays. Not necessarily less harsh. But that guy in the thread I can't talk in was seemingly really prolific.

Anyway hope ur good my man Justice. Keep on watching the forums like a hawk! You're get a golden star.

You have to understand that there are a lot of different admins on at different times of the day. A problem player can usually get away with petty things constantly because he might be being dealt with by different admins at different times. Typically, smaller offenses are satisfied with warnings or kicks only. This means that unless a ban happens and is posted on the forums, most admins will not realize a players long history unless he conducts a "background check". Problem players can sometimes get away with a lot of small things if they are always being dealt with by different admins until a particular admin realizes and remembers that someone has already been kicked repeatedly. Another thing that happens is that problem players usually spread out their offenses over a long period of time and makes their behavior less noticeable.

In regards to your other post, we have to also focus and not overlook single players, because they can have an impact on the server and everyone else. One person can ruin the game for everyone else and that is why we don't overlook someone being an asshat, wasting valuable assets, or doing anything else to disrupt gameplay. As far as team stacking goes, I have always seen admins switching squads to make the teams a little more even. I have also done it myself. We're not always going to have rounds that end with less than a 100 ticket difference. It's impossible to maintain several rounds in a row which end very close, because an outcome is also dependent on the map and available assets to a team. So, we do try to fix teams, but understand that sometimes it's not possible to consistently maintain that and there will be times when one team completely rolls over the other.

I was gonna comment on that last part in the thread but removed it because I felt it was a bit inappropriate too, in a guys ban appeal I mean:

Sometimes it can be good, especially for more serious offenses and to track someone down.

But heck most of this stuff is just normal gameplay. Now this prick seemed to have a fetish for spamming music from mumble for no reason and that's good to have a record of and considering his forté was very broad he probably got away with a lot of stuff without getting warned to begin with.

The rest of his offenses though were mostly mild and quite spread out. The more serious stuff like team kills that are intentional were about 1 month or 3 weeks apart and the rest of the stuff is like "afk" and "help your team".

Dude's just a shitty immature player. But I'd say if you play actively every week and only rage once every 3 weeks on someone in PR then you're pretty stable.
Admins, where ever they are, can directly react to things happening to them. That's not only good for the server (in most cases) but calms their personal nerves.

Shit, I'd imagine a lot of HoG members getting some kicks and warnings from time to time if they went incognito without admin powers ;-) We're all human.

It also depends on the player. I hate reporting people.
Like if someone steals our APC asset and I'm in an APC squad I'll just deal with it generally.
I'll either forgive them or talk to them (97% of the time) for what ever stupid shit they do or TK them. And of course then I might get a kick or a ban. But if I was an admin I'd just issue a warning.

edit: This is to your first reply, lets keep the other threads topic in the other thread dude.

Lastly, we all need to understand and keep in mind that as time goes by PR is gradually losing players so when we can, and in low populated rounds, we try to be a little more forgiving. Some players will learn better and fix their behavior by simply talking to them and being rational. Others, and the most serious rule breakers, need to be dealt with strictly and swiftly to prevent them from discouraging others to continue playing here.

As long as I'm here I'm going to always try and keep the server playable and fair for our regular and well behaved players who just want to have a fair and fun game. And to those whose sole purpose is to disrupt the game, I'm going to give them hell until they get tired of trying or it's just me and them and we're the last two players left in PR.

Yeah man I mean I have nothing but good stuff to say about you except that you sometimes take things too literally ;D

I don't think we're losing players though, seems we're stuck at about 100~120~ active at any time of the day. Double during peak week.

I guess we lost CHN and Brasil though and even the Russians are getting into the US and EU servers. Maybe just the community around it is dying.

And frankly it's kinda time, it's just a pity none of the alternatives ever lived up to their hype like Squad.
