Observation about kick/ bans was created by =HOG=Haley11thACR
It has occurred to me that ever since we decided to be a bit more lenient on perma bans our server has suffered. We have so many asshats lately that we have a flood of ban appeals....then we lift the bans and they are right back here appealing another ban. I am thinking that our leniency has bitten us in the ass. Might be time to consider making more bans permanent and then once it is settled banning them from the site....too many banned players are sticking around and making comments....its getting old.

I can only hope that FCV is going up soon to take out the trash.

It must be because we are so poorly managed and that we force a certain kind of game play on the server ;)

Over the last few months, FCV has ceased to appear on the list and we are left with a few servers that are poorly managed and counters the idea of relaxed gaming.

As of now, I can think of a clan or 2 being admins on most popular servers, dictating what play styles will be accepted and which will not in an already small, dying community. This needs to change. This lack of friendly behavior will not attract any new blood and will only lead to the purge of the player base.

I can agree but what about the ones that are new and just need a nudge, how can you seperate those. I mean, in essence we ban and never lift, we should make it a "members" only club..
But if ur talking about repeat offenders, who have we let back in over and over?

Shifting blame, implying we are dicks etc. Its not the offense it self, more that he didnt learn anything at all, and then blames us.

If we start perm banning every time they do something stupid with a shrinking player base, we will eventually have a tough time filling the server. I don't think we should put up with the constant asshats, but I do believe we need to be discerning in what/who we perm ban. Temp banning works for me. If I see the same smacktard coming back and breaking rules again then perm. On another note, I don't think we need to be as patient as we've been with this endless appeals. Especially the majority who wants to argue the point instead of showing the slightest remorse and moving on.

I agree with York. those who repeat themselfs, or are regulars, and continious break smaller rules....they will end up banned in the end.

I got this pm from the guy mentioned above, he still admits no fault of his own.

"There is a reason why you only have 13 thanks. Even though some non admins have more which is just unbelievable how many people just completely just argh."
