one thing is they seem to not know why they were temp banned and when they perm ban someone it is to get them to come to the website so they can be told what they are doing wrong.
what if we made a shortcut to warn them to say, "You are banned for 3 hours, go to www.hogclangaming.com to review our rules" or something to that effect. Then warn them with that 2 or 3 times in a row, then temp ban them from the server.
or something along these lines.

The problem with tempban is often that they just go play somewhere else for a day or 2, and then come back and play on HOG, not really caring why they where tb'ed in the first place. Those kind of players often go under the radar for quite a while since they get caught doing shit by different admins, and can continue for quite some time if they just keep switching names.
What I like about the bans are that either they are trolls and dont care showing up to get unbanned, or they do show up and we get to explain to them what they did wrong, and we are able to see if they take responsibility for their mistakes. Just look at my link earlier, I just happend to find the shit he did by accident while looking for something entirely different. The only reason we see that he has not learned anything nor read the rules is by pure luck that he actually appealed a tempban.
Im not saying that we should ban everyone, but still keep it for repeated offenders or for those we want to have a talk with
Edit: Dammit super, stop ninja'ing my thoughts.

what I have noticed is some1 will come in and appeal their ban....perm.. for really a temp ban reason, and their attitude is already shit because they fig what the hell. I am going off my bf3 admin memories....lol we would warn 1,2 times then admin kill, then kick then go to bans.but it also it depended on how bad of a infraction the player had.

don't the admins have a option for the length of temp bam? shit set it for 2 wk cool off period, again im going off bf3 and procon.
I have not logged into the mixed map server yet and don't have the correct map for the test server(have it but don't know how or where to install it to) have not playd bf 2 in yrs and want to get used to commands and other shit before I go live and in color.

@jevski, think they would work better? Maybe doable?
@twisted, they sort of can do that, but the problem is we dont use punkbustet which would give the reaon why u were banned. Now, it givres a default reaon why u were banned and it gives it too u no matter the real reason. So, they come here asking why.

Will I be told to stay out of it, or is this thread open to all?
